Newcastle University Postgraduate Certificate in Transplantation 

The Certificate in Transplantation is a new university qualification designed to be hosted in the Institute of Transplantation.

It will be delivered by the Institute’s experts in transplant medicine. The course is a one year, part-time modular course with designated face-to-face teaching days in addition to self-directed learning and course work through the year.

Professor Neil Sheerin will act as the Degree Programme Director.

There are three modules:

Module one   

Core Principles in Transplantation.

Module Lead is Dr Katie Jones

Module two

Abdominal Organ Transplantation.               

Module Lead is Professor Steve White

Module three

Thoracic Organ Transplantation.                    

Module Lead is Dr Gareth Parry

Monthly grand rounds programme

A monthly multi-disciplinary, multi-organ clinical grand round programme is held between 4:30-6.00pm on a rotating day of the week.

On alternate months the main speaker is an invited external national or international speaker.
